The hopper level sensor mounts on the side of the hopper to alert the pilot when the liquid or granular material is reaching a low level. Once the sensor detects a low material level, a signal is sent to the navigation computer to interrupt the spray data logging. The low level is indicated to the pilot by a bright LED mounted in the cockpit.
